I think Daniel is one of my favorite people in the Bible. He spent most of his life away from home, an exile in a foreign land. He learned a new language, watched empires rise and fall, and later in his life received a special vision of God’s eternal kingdom that would never fall.
So at the end of the day the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions' den. The king said to Daniel, "I hope your God who you serve and pray to will rescue you!" A large, heavy stone was rolled in front of the den and the king went back to his palace with tears in his eyes.
However, this book focuses way to much on the lions and the fact they didn't get to eat Daniel. They pretty much narrate the story. Daniel's story is a powerful one of unwavering faith and I wish more focus had been given to him and God's s: helps you tell kids about Jesus by providing age-appropriate Bible study material and Sunday School curriculum – all % free online.
